Meet Beth Perry
I really call The Children’s Center my second home. I feel so lucky to have found an amazing place to work, a wonderful place to be each day and a wonderful atmosphere filled with fabulous kids, teachers, and parents. I started here in 1997 and worked as a Group Leader with the 2nd -5th graders. I became a Site Coordinator for the 2nd -5th grade program in 2003, and the Director in 2013. This is my 11th year as the Director of The Children’s Center and 26th year with CCW! I absolutely love each new adventure and learning experience. I feel that after school programs, now more than any time, provide an integral role in the continued cognitive, social and emotional growth and learning through the actions of play. The interactions while playing are so crucial to problem solving, being a community member and making lasting friendships. I have a dual B.S. in Marine Biology and Environmental Science from Roger Williams University and received my Post Baccalaureate of Education from Framingham State University. When I am not at C.C.W. you can find me enjoying outdoor adventures with my husband, friends and family. I have two amazing children, one a a graduate student in England with his first “real” job and one a Junior in college! I enjoy the beaches of OBX (The Outer Banks, NC) and Poland Maine, collecting sand at beaches every place I visit, biking, walking, yoga, cheering on my children, listening to Taylor Swift, being with friends and family and chillaxin’ any time the moment presents.
